Belgian 1610-1690 David Teniers Gallery Flemish painter. His father, also named David Teniers (1582 ?C 1649), was a painter of primarily religious subjects. The younger Teniers was highly prolific and is best known for his genre scenes of peasant life, many of which were used for tapestry designs in the 18th century. He was brilliant at handling crowd scenes in an open landscape and adept at characterizing his figures with a warm, human, and often humorous touch. Henriette Ronner
French 1821-1909 He was a Dutch painter. Born Henriette Knip in Amsterdam, she moved at a young age to Den Bosch and was until 1850 active in Sint-Michielsgestel and Boxtel. That year she married Feico Ronner and moved to Belgium, first to Brussels and in 1878 to Elsene. She was best known for her paintings of subjects from nature, especially cats and dogs.
Carl Wilhelm Barth
(1847 - 1919) was a Norwegian painter. He was born in Christiania. He studied painting under Hans Gude from 1881 to 1883, and having worked as a naval officer until then, he specialized in marine art. He is represented with three works in the National Gallery of Norway. He was the son of Jacob Bøckmann Barth and brother of Agnar Johannes Barth, both foresters.
